Delays are caused by the seller's agent, the title company and our mortgage officer. (it sure would be nice if these "professionals" would respond in a timely and efficient manner the way we have with everything little thing they have asked of us.)

they FINALLY get all of their ducks in a row, and we sign all our closing papers, and they Fedex them out to Colorado, where the seller is located. New estimated close date, Thurs., July 3, 2008.

I receive an email stating that the Fedex truck carrying our document broke down and it is delaying our documents by a day. The title company representative assures us that they will expediate the process once the documents arrive, and closing should still take place the next day.

08:00 - we have heard nothing new

09:00 - we have heard nothing

10:00 - still nothing

11:00 - still nothing

12:00 - nothing

13:00 - nothing....

14:00 - nothing... and now we have a house full of 12 yr old girls for Sammantha's surprise 13th Bday party. No... niether of us are stressed out at this point. Not at all.

15:00 - STILL nothing

16:00 - we start making phone calls. Mortgage officer - all we reach is voice mail on all available phone numbers. Title company - closed for the day. GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Real estate agent seems completely surprised that no one has contacted us.

16:35 - we finally receive a call back from our mortgate officer to tell us that the Fedex truck broke down again or still or some bull-crap like that. I'm pretty dang sure that Fedex has more than one bloody truck!!!!!!!!!!!! New expected closing date - Monday, July 7, 2008. Apologies are offered, but D tells them that it's too late for apologies. Why couldn't anyone phone us and inform us of the further delays? Apologies don't give us the keys to our house, or undo the hours of anxious anticipation ending in extreme disappointment and frustration.

16:40 - I am a stressed out, angry and highly dissapointed almost-but-not-quite-new-home-owner, keeping myself highly distracted with party guests and D is an extremely pissed off, dissapointed and aggitated almost-but-not-quite-new-home-owner.

18:00 - we vent out our frustrations while picking up pizza for the party and try to get on with our long weekend, which we had designated to painting our new house which so obviously isn't going to happen.

So far - no word from anybody in relation to anything house related. I expect nothing and I am sure that is exactly what we will get. Except for our real estate agent, who has been awesome through this all, who will call us as soon as he has any information for us.
