So, Here it is...

Got a phone call on Friday evening. Landlord sold the house. Gave us 3 days of notice of when the house is changing hands, although we were promised to be kept "informed" as to what was going on.
New landlord calls on Sunday... he is planning to subdivide our property and surrounding property he has purchased. He will be selling our house once the property has been divided up. He'll give us first option to buy. We have had a parade of real estate agents, roofers and window people here doing estimates, etc. Landlord is preparing to increase the value of the home. He is moving quickly. He also purchased the property next door. Took posession of it on Monday. Had it torn down yesterday. Its gone now.
So, grim reality is.... we can't get a mortgage big enough to buy this house, and we have no way of doing a down payment to bring it down to where we could possibly get a mortgage.
So.... I guess we'll be moving soon. Providing we can find somewhere to rent.
This was supposed to be our house. We are extremely saddened. And worried. Houses big enough for a family of 6 to rent are few and far between. Please keep us in your prayers.
