moments....

~~ It's still dark in the mornings as Vicki and I drive across town to Aunty C's house, where V spends her days. Everytime she sees a house with its Christmas lights on she yells out, "Lights!" or she yells out what shape the lights make, "Star!", "Rheindeer!", "A cross!" Makes me giggle everytime!

~~ "Mommy, I want to tell you a secret!" "Yes Vicki?" (whispering in my ear)"I love you. And your cute!" Now who can argue with that?

~~ For three years now, we have done our excursion out to get a Christmas tree as a family outing, along with our good buddies Den and Sharley and their brood of 6 kids. It's a thing. We have fun. The first year it was too wet. Last year was too cold. This year was just right. Not a complaint was heard as we hunted for the perfect tree(s).

~~ Took the kids all Christmas shopping on Sunday. As we made our way from the mall to the restaurant where we were going for our annual 'we've-survived-another-packed-mall-to-do-our-christmas-shopping' event, it was snowing. After a few minutes, from the second row, safely fastened in the safety seat, came an excited little voice.... "SNOW!"

~~ Sooooo many reasons to be thankful this Christmas. Here are four...

I am totally flabbergasted at how fast time seems to pass these days. There is something about working full-time and still trying to manage a household consisting of a couple of teens, one preteen, a 3 year old, a husband and myself, that makes it all just a blur at times.

Here's a blessing from our family to yous. May your home be filled with family, friends and joy. May you know that your loved ones are safe, no matter how far away they are. Merry Christmas!

Awe.. To your family too! Working outside the home means you have 40 hours a week less to do at home stuff! Makes time fly a lot faster!
