Mommy and Daddy are sitting on the couch, watching Lost.
V is playing behind the couch with her Polly Pockets.
Suddenly V is climbing on Mommy, telling her that there is a bug under the "computer" (which is the electric piano). Mommy just looks at her with an uninterested look, so V moves on over to Daddy's lap. Again she points to the electric piano, and says, "there's a bug under the computer, Daddy!"
It's now commercial break, so it's Daddy to the rescue. She takes him by the hand and she leads him to the piano. He kneels down to look, and Vicki is panicking,

It's now commercial break, so it's Daddy to the rescue. She takes him by the hand and she leads him to the piano. He kneels down to look, and Vicki is panicking,
holding her Little Tikes fishing rod. "Here Daddy, you better use this," she says while pushing the rod towards him.
He assures her its ok. Again she insists that he better use "this", and tries to give him the rod.
He reaches in.
V panicks.

V panicks.
Fishing rod flails about.
He pulls out the bug. "Here is your bug." He reaches out to show it to her. She reaches the rod towards it, looking more than a little distressed.
"It's just some fuzz, Vicki. It's not a bug. You don't need to worry."
She looks a little closer, drops the fishing rod and hugs her hero.

I shouldn't tell this story but I will because I can and he will never venture over here to read it anyway. My big strapping youngest son, who is bigger than me btw, is horribly afraid of moths. He won't enter a room if there is one on the wall let alone flying around. If one should take flight while he is there he runs screaming like a girl. He's a little dramatic, don't know where he gets it from. What a pill! as we like to say.
Oh Sue!! He freaks!! It is funny!!
Shari.....So cute!! The joys of being a parent are held in moments like those. awwww.......
Its nice to have a Hero
i get freaked out of moths. i have become more brave now. but i will dive and duck and run if they are fluttering around my head.
