After a tough day as parents yesterday, D and I are certainly feeling drained and optimistic that in the end, things are looking up.
So we have one child who was suspended from school for skipping school. How does that make sense, we ask. Also, how does a child skip so many times that they have run out of options and resort to suspension without us, the parents of said child, being informed? Good question, we are told. They are looking into that. D was able to to talk with the principal this morning and had the suspension downgraded to an in-school suspension. Better. But we still are upset that we were never given the opportunity to deal with this before it went this far. And of course a child who is getting away with it will continue to keep trying to get away with it.
But, after a long intense conversation last night, we the parents, are feeling optimistic. We are not naive, however and will continue to keep a close eye on this child who is feeling a little lost lately. Please keep our JMan in your prayers as he struggles to work out some teenage/young adult stuff. Please keep D and I in your prayers, as we try to provide solid guidance for a young man who is so uncertain about his future, and feeling hurt over damaged and lost friendships.

oh no.
I hate that he is hurting.
being a parent is not easy. Being a working parent is even sooo much harder.
I will pray for your strength not to Kill him
